About company
Our company has been producing and selling woodworking equipment for over 20 years. Our history began with a small design bureau engaged in the development of band sawmills. In 1995, we patented our first invention – MPI-750 band sawmill and kick-started its production. Convenient, reliable and easy-to-operate sawmills were in demand in the wood industry both with large enterprises and private entrepreneurs.
Having considered consumer demand our designers began to develop such new and popular products as OCS-1 log lathe, FPS-1 power cutter, UHS-2M notcher, TOL-1 belt conveyor, STS-600 circular saw-bench, grinding machines and a range of lathe tending tools.
Keeping pace with the times, we improve and create new products, giving more and more preference to automated machines and woodworking complexes. Analyzing customer desires we have created unique equipment that has no analogues in Russia: fully automatically operated (unattended) log lathes - OCS-2A and OCS-3AM, as well as radio-controlled building mini-crane KSRM-500 that allows to assemble log-houses easily and with little effort.
High quality, reliability, optimal cost and the ease of use are major factors of our success. Kraos engineers work to develop the equipment that meets the imperatives of the time and all the needs of your business!
The history of our company began more than 20 years ago with a small design bureau engaged in the development of band saw machines.
In 1995, we patented our first invention - the LPU-600 band saw unit and began small-scale production. Convenient, reliable and easy to operate, sawmills have proven to be in demand in the woodworking industry, both among large enterprises and private entrepreneurs.
In 2007, our design bureau developed the universal rounding machine OTSS-1 and its further modification OTSS-1M. The uniqueness of its design lies in the fact that with one combined cutter, the machine can perform operations such as rounding a log (cutting up to 100 mm per radius in one pass), selecting a mounting groove, a bowl, and milling a plane on a log.
Keeping up with the times, we improve and create new products, increasingly giving preference to automated machines and complexes. In 2010, we launched unique equipment on the market that has no analogues in Russia - these are OTS-3AM and OTS-2AM rounding machines, operating fully automatically (without operator participation)
In addition to rounding machines, the designers of our company have designed a lot of additional auxiliary equipment, such as cup cutting and cross-cutting machines, conveyors for removing chips, roller tables, etc. Since 2011, we have been actively designing and implementing turnkey rounding complexes
It is no secret that the construction of houses from rounded logs requires considerable physical effort and the presence of expensive lifting equipment. In 2013, our designers developed a “mini-crane KSRM-500”, which is mounted inside the log house, and after assembling the log house, it is removed in parts.
In 2014, our plant designed, tested and put into serial production the OTS-4AM rounding machine, the feature of which was the ability to work with large-caliber projects. OTSS-4AM can output rounded logs with a diameter of up to 500mm!!!
Since 2015, we have been actively developing in the direction of sawmills and bringing to the market: a reliable and powerful angle sawmill UPS-550 with program control, a single-shaft multi-saw machine AMC-150, a band sawmill LPU-900 with a variable sawing angle and an electronic-mechanical ruler type.
Due to a decrease in the supply of industrial timber, entrepreneurs have become more attentive to the possibility of processing low-grade wood into industrial boards or timber. In order for the processing of fine gauges to be economically justified and profitable, our production enterprise was tasked with designing and manufacturing equipment that had to meet several requirements at once:
- possibility not to sort the forest
- the machine is not sensitive to the curvature and taper of logs
- minimum working personnel and space required
- ability to work at low temperatures
- quick changeover to any size of board or timber
- high performance and low power consumption
A machine capable of solving these problems simultaneously was a thin gauge processing unit - UPT-235M, which actually consists of a log hauler, a milling beam and a twin-shaft multi-saw. Since 2018, UPT-235M and its modifications have become one of the most popular machines produced by the Kusinsky Woodworking Equipment Plant.
We do not stop at achieved goals and are looking for solutions to new technological problems and are actively expanding production. We do not look back at our competitors, but create new trends in the development of the machine tool industry. We work to ensure that your business develops together with our equipment.
We invite you to visit our enterprise, where you can see all production processes live. With respect, to you and your business. Kusinsky woodworking equipment plant KRAOS.
